ABOUT TODOS SANTOS
Situated on the Pacific Ocean at the Tropic of Cancer between Cabo San Lucas, to the south and La Paz, to the east, lies the sleepy town of Todos Santos, recently named by the government as a “Pueblo Magico” or Magic Town.
Originally founded in 1724 as an outpost for the Mision de Nuestra Senora del Pilar, the Jesuits would deliver fruits and vegetables from the rich soils of Todos Santos to the Mision in La Paz. Today, Todos Santos is literally an oasis in the desert. Considered an art community, known for its art galleries, quaint shopping and wonderful restaurants serving fresh, local organic foods. Many locals and tourists alike prefer living and vacationing in Todos Santos due to its cooler Baja climate, easy access to La Paz and Los Cabos. while offering an “authentic” Baja lifestyle. The ecology of this oasis, and the magnificent Sierra Laguna mountains, are the subject of many paintings, photographs, and memories.
