The Residences at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort is celebrating and honoring the death of two reflective thought leaders who were visionaries and created legacies in which transformed generations specifically Baja California and Solaz. Miguel del Barco and JW Marriott believed in simple truths. One an explorer and author who wanted to share the rich history and natural wonders of an untold land – the other an entrepreneur who wanted to share opportunity and knowledge to those who would believe in the rich culture of service. Both valued travel and the power of exploring the world and what it brings to humanity.
Barco and Marriott lead with their hearts. They both held deep religious and spiritual beliefs which laid the foundation for their life journeys. As we honor these two gentlemen who were trailblazers it is a good time to reflect on what they inspired in two different eras of history. What do we gain from our adventures? Traveling expands our capacity to love. We gain perspective into the lives of others-sometimes strangers, sometimes our companions. When we learn about others` lives, we grow in our own.
Barco and Marriott have opened the door for explorers and collectors of memories to experience the Baja and see the world from another point of view. Even if only for a week or a day or a moment, today we pay homage to this priceless lesson of always seeking a new perspective, or idea or friend!
The Gabinete del Barco Museum, located at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, named aptly after Miguel del Barco, will hold unique collections from all of Baja California Sur. Owners and guests are invited to experience all 5 exhibit areas, and discover the adventure of the first explorers that arrived looking for the gold and pearls which appeared in the narratives of their legends.
